LAGOS ASSEMBLY SPOKESPERSON, HON. OGUNDIPE ROLLS OUT"PAD A GIRL" INITIATIVE
In a continued effort to promote health awareness and support the well-being of young girls, the member representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency-01 in the Lagos State House of Assembly and Assembly Spokesperson, Hon. Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode (Omoj’omolo), has rolled out his annual “Pad a Girl Initiative” under the OMOJ’OMOLO CARES programme.
The impactful outreach, which took place at Ikeja Grammar School, focused on educating female students about menstrual health, hygiene, and self-confidence during their monthly cycle. The initiative also featured the distribution of sanitary pads to the students, ensuring they are well-equipped to manage their periods with dignity and comfort.
Representing Hon. Ogundipe at the event, his aide, Hon. Adefemi Fatai, delivered a message of encouragement and enlightenment to the young girls. He emphasized the importance of understanding menstruation as a natural phase of life.

“Dear students, today’s programme is designed to prepare you for an important stage in your lives. Menstruation is a natural biological process and a sign of growth and maturity. There is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.
What is most important is maintaining proper hygiene during this period. By doing so, you protect your health, boost your confidence, and continue your daily activities without fear or discomfort.
Our principal, Hon. Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode, remains committed to your well-being through initiatives like this. We want you to feel supported, informed, and empowered at all times.”
