Lagos Assembly Spokesman,Hon Ogundipe Urges Oshodi-Isolo Youths to Embrace Peace, Halt Vandalism
The Spokesman of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Stephen Olukayode Ogundipe, has appealed to youths in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency I to give peace a chance and refrain from acts of vandalism that could tarnish the reputation of the constituency.
Speaking during a brief interaction with journalists at his Alausa office, Hon. Ogundipe expressed concern over recent incidents of property destruction, describing such acts as an embarrassment to a constituency known for peaceful coexistence and communal harmony.
He emphasized that the people of Oshodi-Isolo Constituency I have long lived together as one family, irrespective of ethnic or religious differences, and urged young people to uphold that tradition by maintaining law and order.
According to him, grievances and disagreements should always be resolved through peaceful and lawful channels, rather than through violence or destruction of public and private property.
In the same vein, Hon. Ogundipe also called on aspirants contesting in the forthcoming All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections to conduct their campaigns with maturity and decorum.
He advised that campaigns should focus on issues, ideas, and developmental plans, rather than resorting to personal attacks, inflammatory rhetoric, or unnecessary verbal confrontations that could deepen political divisions.
The lawmaker stressed that the overarching objective of the party is to foster unity among members and position the APC for a decisive victory in the forthcoming general elections.
He therefore urged all stakeholders, particularly the youth and political actors, to remain committed to peace, responsible political engagement, and the collective progress of Oshodi-Isolo and Lagos State.
