RAMADAN: 2ND EDITION OF “IFTAR WITH OMOJ'OMOLO” BEGINS IN GRAND STYLE

 

 

The second edition of _“IFTAR WITH OMOJ’OMOLO”,_ a humanitarian initiative designed to support Muslim faithful during the fasting period, has commenced in grand style across various mosques in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency I.

The programme is the brainchild of Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode, popularly known as Omoj’omolo, the Member representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Launched in observance of the holy month of Ramadan, the initiative which started in 2025 provided for cash to support nutritious meals for Muslims at the time of breaking their fast, thereby easing the burden of accessing quality food during this sacred period. Beyond welfare support, the programme also promotes unity, brotherhood, and solidarity among Muslim faithful across all wards in the constituency, with adequate provisions made for various mosques to cater to their Jamah.

Speaking shortly before dispatching the distribution team, Hon. Ogundipe emphasized the importance of generosity, compassion, and community service during Ramadan.

“This is a period of deep reflection, prayer, and self-discipline. It is a time to give in charity, seek forgiveness, and strengthen our faith by following the exemplary life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). I pray that Almighty Allah grants you the strength and patience to observe your fast with sincerity and devotion. May your acts of ibadah be accepted, and may this holy month bring spiritual renewal and blessings to all.”

Hon. Ogundipe further reassured constituents of his unwavering commitment beyond Ramadan, pledging to sustain community engagement and continue participating in prayer gatherings dedicated to the development and well-being of humanity.

The 2026 edition commenced with enthusiasm at Ibrahim BolaDale Memorial Mosque on BolaDale Street in Afariogun Ward. Other mosques that have been visited by Team Omoj'omolo in this Ramadan season are Ibrahim Boladale Memorial mosque,

Several mosques across the constituency  benefited from the _Iftar with Omoj’omolo_ programme in the first edition in 2025 and many more will also benefit this year. 

The Chief Imams and the entire Jamah of the benefiting mosques expressed profound appreciation for the initiative and offered heartfelt prayers for Hon. Ogundipe, asking Allah to grant him divine wisdom, strength, and abundant blessings.

The _Iftar with Omoj’omolo_ team continues its daily outreach to additional mosques, ensuring the programme reaches more Muslim faithful across Oshodi-Isolo Constituency-01 throughout the holy month.

SA on Agriculture & Food Security Distributes Over 10,000 bags of 10kg rice grains for First Quarter of 2025

  In a continuous effort to actualize the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) towards ensuring that vulnerable Nigerians keep getting support pending when the economy would become stable for all classes of Nigerians to begin to consolidate on their sources of income, Hon.
