OSHODI POLITICKING: LAGOS LAWMAKER,HON OGUNDIPE URGES ALL WARRING PARTIES TO EMBRACE DIALOGUE

A call has gone to the warring factions in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oshodi Isolo Local Government, who are displeased with the list of supervisory councilors and special advisers recently released by the state government to eschew bitterness , but embrace peaceful process in resolving the logjam

The call was made by the members representing Oshodi Isolo constituency 1 in the state house of Assembly,Hon Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode in a press release  issued on Wednesday by his media office, which he personally signed and made available to this medium, stressing that political disagreements will always arise but should be sorted applying political solutions

He opined that though, the list might not be favorable to one or two parties,he advised that aggrieved parties must look for a peaceful solution and ensure that the interest of the party remains paramount

According to him "I hereby appeal to all warring parties within the political space of Oshodi-Isolo Constituency-01, most especially members and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to exercise restraint, calm frayed nerves, and embrace dialogue in the aftermath of the recently concluded Ward and Local Government Congresses, as well as the disagreements arising from the released list of Local Government Supervisors"

He stated that politics should remain a platform for service, progress, and collective advancement not a battleground for division. While disagreements are natural in any democratic setting, prolonged rancour and silent political battles only weaken our common front and distract us from the larger objectives before us.

Continuing"We stand to gain far more in unity than in discord. A united party remains our strongest asset as we collectively work towards sustaining good governance, consolidating the gains of our party, and achieving success in forthcoming elections, including the re-election of Mr President and other candidates of our great party at all levels"

As the popular saying goes, jaw-jaw is better than war-war. History has shown us that conflicts and internal strife have never taken us to where we desire to be. Constructive engagement, sincere compromise, and mutual respect are the pathways to lasting peace and progress within our local government and constituency.

"I therefore call on all leaders, elders, stakeholders, and party faithful to sheath their swords, return to the table of dialogue, and place the collective interest of Oshodi-Isolo above personal or group interests. This is a time to heal, rebuild trust, and move forward together in unity and purpose"

Lastly "together, we can strengthen our party, deepen internal democracy, and deliver the dividends of democracy to our people", he concluded
