OMOJ’OMOLO FREE JAMB BENEFICIARIES BEGIN ORIENTATION, BIOMETRIC CAPTURING
The first batch of beneficiaries of the 3rd edition of the Free JAMB Distribution under the Omoj’omolo Educational Empowerment Programme has commenced orientation, tutorial sessions, and biometric capturing at the Overcomer CBT Centre, Lagos.
The initiative, sponsored by Hon. Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode (OMOJ’OMOLO), Member representing Oshodi–Isolo Constituency-01 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, is aimed at expanding access to tertiary education and reducing the financial burden on students and parents within the constituency.
Addressing over two hundred students during the orientation, the Chief Executive Officer of Overcomer Educational Consult, Mr. Niyi Adeosun, who is the consultant handling the programme, carefully explained the rudiments of the exercise. He stressed the importance of accuracy during data entry, noting that errors in spelling of names, dates of birth, and other vital personal information could jeopardise candidates’ chances of securing admission.
Mr. Adeosun urged the students to be attentive and meticulous throughout the process, describing the biometric capturing stage as critical to their JAMB registration and overall success in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
He also expressed appreciation to Hon. Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode for entrusting his organisation with what he described as a laudable and impactful project. According to him, the reputation of Overcomer Educational Consult for diligence and professionalism has earned the centre prompt approval from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), as well as accreditation by other examination bodies to conduct Computer-Based Tests (CBT).
Mr. Adeosun further noted that the confidence reposed in his organisation for the third consecutive year has given the centre added leverage and mileage, which he described as a major boost and a source of pride for his team.
The beneficiaries, visibly excited, expressed gratitude to Hon. OMOJ’OMOLO for the opportunity, pledging to maximise the gesture by taking their studies seriously and striving for academic excellence.
The Free JAMB orientation, tutorial, and biometric capturing exercise is scheduled to continue tomorrow, as more beneficiaries are expected to be processed under the programme.
