LAGOS ASSEMBLY SPOKESPERSON, HON OGUNDIPE EULOGISES OSHODI-ISOLO LGA CHAIRMAN ON ACHIEVEMENTS

 


 


The Member representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency-01 in the Lagos State House of Assembly and Spokesperson of the House, Hon. Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode, has eulogised the Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Adeola Oloyede, for his remarkable achievements within his first 100 days in office.


Hon. Ogundipe gave the commendation on Friday, while speaking at a Mega Empowerment Programme organised for residents of the local government to commemorate the Chairman’s first 100 days in office. The event, which was held at the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Secretariat, attracted party leaders, community stakeholders, traditional rulers, youth groups and beneficiaries of the empowerment initiative.


Addressing the press, the lawmaker applauded Otunba Oloyede’s swift intervention in addressing infrastructural challenges and improving service delivery across the local government. He described the Chairman’s performance as a clear demonstration of purposeful leadership and commitment to the welfare of the people.


“We appreciate his intervention in the infrastructural deficit in our community. His commitment to development and the numerous achievements recorded in this short period of time cannot but be applauded. He has given the people of Oshodi the reason to trust our party with leadership positions,” Hon. Ogundipe stated.


He further noted that the Chairman’s leadership has strengthened public confidence in governance at the grassroots level and reinforced the credibility of the ruling party in delivering tangible dividends of democracy.


According to him, “Kendoo has given us the confidence and pride to speak boldly as a party that has delivered real dividends of democracy. He has shown us that excellence is intentional and that character is the backbone of achievement.”


Hon. Ogundipe added that the visible improvements recorded in areas such as road rehabilitation, environmental sanitation, social welfare programmes and youth empowerment within 100 days underscore the Chairman’s vision for a more inclusive and progressive Oshodi-Isolo. He urged residents to continue to support the local government administration to enable it sustain and expand on the gains already recorded.


The lawmaker also called on other public office holders to emulate the leadership style of Otunba Oloyede by prioritising accountability, people-oriented policies and effective utilisation of public resources.


The highlight of the event was the empowerment of residents through the distribution of tools, equipment and other support items aimed at boosting small-scale businesses, skills acquisition and economic self-reliance within the local government.
