LG Election:Otunba Almaroof-Oloyede Clinches Second Term with Landslide Victory, Dedicates Win to President Tinubu, People of Oshodi-Isolo
The Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, has been re-elected for a second term following a resounding victory at the just-concluded local government elections.
The chairman polled an unprecedented 64,300 votes, representing a 301% increase from the 21,000 votes he garnered in his first-term bid.
In a statement, the chairman expressed profound gratitude to the electorate and stakeholders who contributed to the landslide victory.
"With a heart full of gratitude and humility, I sincerely thank the good people of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government for the overwhelming support and resounding mandate given to us at the just concluded local government elections."
He noted that the result is not just a victory, but a powerful expression of the people’s trust in his administration and shared vision for a greater Oshodi-Isolo.
The chairman dedicated the historic win to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, acknowledging the pivotal role of the Federal Government in empowering local governments.
"I wholeheartedly dedicate this historic victory to our leader and President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, whose renewed hope agenda and commitment to grassroots development through improved allocations to local governments made it possible for us to deliver numerous people-oriented projects. These achievements resonated deeply with our people and inspired the confidence that translated into this massive show of support at the polls," he said.
Otunba Oloyede also used the opportunity to appreciate the tireless efforts of party members, support groups, and campaign committees who worked diligently throughout the election season. He thanked the outgoing councillors for their service and welcomed the incoming, expressing optimism for a fruitful working relationship.
Reaffirming his commitment to progress and service delivery, the chairman emphasized that the new mandate marks a new chapter in the local government’s development journey, stating that he would re-dedicate himself to the people with service.
