The Member representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency-I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. (Otunba) Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode popularly known as OMOJ'OMOLO, has declared his full support for the re-election bid of the performing Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede-Almaroof (KENDOO), and all councillorship candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Though unavoidably absent during the official flag-off of the APC Local Government campaign due to official duties abroad, Hon. Ogundipe, upon his return, reaffirmed his commitment to the success of the party and its candidates.

Speaking at the APC Apex Leaders' Meeting, where all seven councillorship candidates were in attendance, Hon. Ogundipe emphasized the constitutional supremacy of the party in political matters. He urged the candidates to remain magnanimous in victory, accommodate diverse interests, and promote unity. Drawing from his own political experience, he recounted how adherence to party directives in the past over personal interests led to his emergence later as a legislator.

To boost campaign efforts, Hon. Ogundipe donated campaign materials and a sum of ₦250,000 to each of the seven councillorship candidates. He also pledged to engage directly with the Council Chairman and lend further support.

During a visit to Otunba Oloyede's office, Hon. Ogundipe commended the ongoing reconciliation efforts, particularly the reintegration of members of the Integrity Group, describing it as a significant win for party unity. He remarked:

"Oshodi has never had it this peaceful and united. With aggrieved members returning to the fold, our chances in the July 12 election and future contests have greatly improved. Victory is in sight."

In his response, Otunba Oloyede expressed deep appreciation for Hon. Ogundipe’s gesture and reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance. He pledged to carry along all caucuses and interest groups, promising to uphold the APC manifesto in the administration of the council.

He added: “This is the first time all elected officials in the local government are aligned in purpose. For the sake of our people and our party, this unity must be sustained.”

Hon. Ogundipe also made an additional undisclosed donation in support of the Chairman’s campaign ahead of the July 12 Local Government Elections.
