Kendoo, Replicating The Renewed Hope Agenda in Oshodi Isolo
The Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede is a grassroot politician, who was born into a politically inclined family, as his late mother, Alhaja Taiwo Almaroof was the first female Councillor to represent Oshodi-Isolo in the old Mushin local government, with outstanding achievements to her credit.
Otunba Oloyede, who is the only child of his mother to have embraced politics, can be said to have learnt the act of politicking under the tutelage of his late mother and on assumption of office, he left no one in doubt that he is out to positively impact his local government, as he has been a philanthropist and businessman in private practice.
As an ardent follower of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and a student of his political school, he was one of the first few to have publicly shown support for President Tinubu's political ambition by financing support groups in honour of the leader.
To show his uncommon commitment to the aspiration of his mentor, the Oshodi-Isolo council chairman was on ground at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja to cheer his political benefactor to victory and give him the needed moral support.
Immediately after the victory of President at Eagles Square, making him the flag bearer of the party, the highly cerebral politician wore his thinking cap, swung into action by mobilizing his constituents for the major election, by holding public programs, sensitizing the people on the desirability of an Asiwaju Presidency in 2023, which he followed to the later with victory in his domain.
With the removal of the subsidy, Otunba Oloyede assured residents that they will not suffer the hardship of the removal of subsidy on petroleum products, thus he commenced the distribution of palliatives to the residents in quantum quality and quality.
To show his determination, while other local governments were yet to support their constituents, Otunba Oloyede, as a bona-fide student of Asiwaju School of Politics, distributed palliative twice with the people praying for him and his government.
When Mr. Governor also directed the council helmsmen to embark on another round of palliative for their people, Otunba Oloyede in his magnanimity, surpassed the amount ordered by the Governor, in order to keep his promise that his government will prioritize welfare of the people at all times and ensured more people benefited.
The orderliness of the distribution was marvelous and being copied by other local governments, as it was devoid of disruption of the process, as beneficiaries were given gate pass ahead of the program with adequate security measures. The program was anchored by a committee of eminent personalities picked across the local government, who delivered their assignment without fear or favour.
In appreciation of his good governance and giant strides in the Local Government, the people have nicknamed him "Mr Project", while some call him "Mr Infrastructure".
The benevolent politician has promised his commitment to the well-being of his people will be top priority till the end of his tenure.
