LAGOS LAWMAKER,HON OGUNDIPE VISITS DISCOUNT FOOD MARKET,OUNJE EKO IN OSHODI

The member representing Oshodi-Isolo constituency-1 in Lagos State House of Assembly Hon (Otunba) Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode (OMOJ'OMOLO) earlier today Sunday 24th March, 2024 visited the Lagos Discount Food Market tagged "Ounje Eko"  at Owoseni Primary School, Oshodi, Lagos. 

Ogundipe who paid an unscheduled visit was received by the coordinator of the market from the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and Hon Balogun Agidi, the Special Adviser, Political Affairs in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government. 

Hon Ogundipe expressed satisfaction at the orderliness with which the activities in the market was being done. He was elated and happy at the large turn out of the residents. He appealed to them to bear with the government of the day that the renewed hope agenda of the Mr President would soon come to reality. He said the hope of Nigerians will not be dashed as the economy have started improving on daily basis. He called for patience and perseverance so that the policies being implemented will bring a lasting solutions to many years of economic sabotage. 

The Coordinator while responding to the people's honorable said he was impressed with the cooperation and understanding he has received from Oshodi residents contrary to the fear he was having when he was posted here.

The markets opens every Sunday to the public. It is the initiative of the Lagos State Government to alleviate the suffering of the citizens by accessing quality food products at  reasonable prices.

  A close pally of the Chairman of the Lagos state branch of the National Union of Road Transport Workers,Alhaji Musilius Ayinde Akinsanya a.k.a Oluomo, Olanrewaju Saheed,popularly known as Baba Oja is dead The late transport unionist,Baba oja  was said to have died in an accident in Ogun state when a car he was traveling in ran under a trailer and he died on the spot.  His remains has been evacuated and information has it that he will be buried according to Islamic way in his Ota residence.  The late baba 0ja in  his early sixties , married and blessed with children.

Oshodi Based 75 year old grandma arrested for drug trafficking

    Operatives of National  Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have arrested a 75-year-old grandma, Mrs. Sekinat Soremekun, for allegedly dealing in illicit drugs. The suspect was arrested in Oshodi, Lagos on Friday, December 15, with quantities of cannabis and liters of codeine syrup. NDLEA’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, in a statement on Sunday, December 17, said, “She claimed her son, Segun, who is now at large, supplied her with the illicit substances which she retailed.” “Mrs. Soremekun, a devout churchgoer and respected member of her community, shocked her neighbors and loved ones with her alleged involvement in drug trafficking.
