(Otunba) Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency-01, on Wednesday visited the three centres of his Third Annual Summer Coaching Programme, distributing school materials to students. During the visit, the lawmaker fondly known as Omoj’omolo, reaffirmed his commitment to academic excellence and positive character development. A circular dated 18th August and signed by the Head of Service, Lagos State, Mr.  Bode Agoro has, yet again, bequeathed  recognition on the traditional religion worshippers via a declaration of weds. 20th August as a work-free day in the state in commemoration of this year's Isese Day Celebrations. According to the circular, the state governor's decision is to reaffirm the commitment of his administration towards promoting the state's indigenous culture, tradition and preserving her heritage while providing necessary support for the traditional institution in the 'state of aquatic splendour'.  To this end, work resumes on Thursday August 21 at all government offices.

Demolition Notice: Group urges Ogun Gov to follow due process

Barely days after the Ogun State Government issued contravention and demolition notices on three properties belonging to Senator Gbenga Daniel in Sagamu, the Mandate Protection Vanguard (MPV) has called on Governor Dapo Abiodun to follow due process and desist from acts that may be perceived as politically motivated. The appeal was contained in a  statement signed by the group’s leader, Alhaji Ade Olushoga, in reaction to what it described as an “unfortunate situation” in the state. MPV noted that it had been closely monitoring developments and concluded that only mutual understanding and the rejection of politics of bitterness could resolve the disagreement between the two political heavyweights: Governor Dapo Abiodun and Senator Gbenga Daniel.
